This house is set in between Chaopraya River and existing garden, which its configuration is inspired from Thai floating house and Thai traditional house.
Reflecting the traditional atmosphere through space and time, through materials and touch, and through seasons and being, without just replicating traditional look soullessly, this house is committed to creating an architecture, which stimulates and inspires; an architecture that tells story of place, of interval, of individual aspiration and of synergy between the natural and built realms.
Inspired by pattern in Thai painting “๑”, the figure of positive/negative space was initiated.
Defined interior/exterior capacity within, mass and void of the building was subsequently composed.
On ground floor, spatial structure of each function was developed following the sentiment of Thai house basement.
On second floor, the sentiment of Thai floating house was induced to the configuration.

N.A.P. : Need A Pillow : Business Hotel in Petchburi 13
Designed and developed in according to the main intention to be green factory, EGO SPORT has been collaborated with GREEN DWELL (specialist in green building) and designed to capture the essence of their neighborhood. Using active and passive processing to make energetic saving, building can work effectively and respond to be ecofriendly project.
EGO SPORT has 3 parts, factory office and show room. Although these are different functions, their designs are related and blended. With patterns and colors, Aluminum gives the feeling of soft-moving thread which is the primary materials of the building. The using of material can be sun-protect and express the character of the project.
The Laken is a housing estate that is not only focus on budget and feasibility but give precedence to esthetic and quality of spaces as well. Designed an indoor functions by concerning left spaces in between, make the most beneficial out of the land. Moreover, exterior and interior is connected in visual and physical ways. Using many architectural techniques, such as changing levels, turning directions, creating a surprising spaces, etc., provide a new experience to the entering space, which is a small area that make first impression of your home.
The site located in Ratchathewi district, which surrounded by many houses and high-density residential projects, which leaded to the design concept of avoiding connectivity with surrounding environment.
While the owner’s requirements created massive scale for living program in this limited area, choosing for dividing large building mass into many pocket spaces that are clustered together with second floor courtyard is the best option. The interesting effect of such building mass composition is the inner space are letting outer open space flow into the site. Meanwhile, we could reach the new relation that it is not one space or it is not some parts of spaces either. The in-between space is created self-contained effect for privacy function.
Combining the two facilities, NS Media low rise structure has the front portion got digital media production house and the rear portion got owner’s private residence. The former space emphasizes on the quality of work environment to enhance the overall operational efficiency of both front of the house and back office areas. While, the latter dwelling space is shaped by blending the modern open-plan layout with various types of natural marble stone finishing in a new manner in order to create a new sense of luxury touch.
This project is inspired by two nationalities, Thai and Taiwanese. Formosa; literally means, “Beautiful Island,” which is the historical name for Taiwan, inspired the main design concept. To depict a beautiful island in the middle of the concrete jungle, an option to isolate the building from surrounded dense context and create a verdant island is proposed.
To capture the dynamic rhythm and relaxing sensational ambiance, the key design of “Formosa” is translated into interior environment using multiple design tools such as weaving stripped wood wall, folding pattern metal display shelf and sea-bubble pattern and color scheme for fabric work as well as loose furniture theme of seaweed form. In addition, the modern dwelling is fulfilled with pocket courtyard concept which aims to create an individual private garden before entering the actual interior area. As a result, the typical condominium residence is tailored for “living with nature” harmony.
Functions of the house obviously separated into two parts, one is mainly used by the residents and another are public functions. Therefore, this particular two building mass are also clearly set apart.
The owner of the house is Landscape Architect, that’s why spaces in this house are connected through landscape-wise manner. Approaching the main public mass, visitor should reach the spacious court first, then reach the public function such as party room. Before arriving at private section, the landscape with light structure, such as steel and wood, came in to play by separating those two part again.
Applying the idea of hideaway retreat, Chicha residence reconsiders the typical modern dwelling atmosphere from the very beginning of design stage. The circulation is redefined from the shortest route to a swaying and sexy patrolling movement. Besides, transitional areas scattered over the residence are to maximize the spatial homogeneity between functional area and the circulation space stressing on spatial approach and rhythm of user experience. Overall ambience aims for a tone of modern tropical serenity.
The houses are made for two brother that living close to each other. “Sharing” environment is the key design of these houses. Therefore, negative spaces are created from the positive form by using tectonic of wall, ceiling, floor and also fence to define a room not only indoor but outdoor as well. As a result, a blurred line are rendered between interior and exterior and also space in between houses, which is a public zone. In order to preserve privacy of each family, “shell” is made to screen the visual permeability from each other. Moreover, the design provide spaces for living together in harmony with nature.
The extension house is designed to connect with the old house, either tangible or intangible ways. Architectural elements such as gate, walkway, sand pond, reflecting pond and roof top are used to define negative space that harmonized with existing layout. Moreover, each room is provided more than one natural experience, for example, dining room is in between the phenomenon of pond and green wall so the sound of water and the greenery scene are created. This house is the role model of N7A “space in between” concept.
